The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Under Graduate Medical Program, referred to as NEET-UG, or more popularly as NEET, is an all India level common entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions in MBBS and BDS courses at various government and private medical colleges within the country. A complete of 14,10,754 candidates appeared in NEET-2019 for the 1,02,586 MBBS/BDS seats available across 842 medical and dental colleges respectively within the country.
Approx Exam Dates:
NEET 2020 is predicted to be conducted by May 3rd this year. As per its exam pattern which follows the AIPMT, NEET is going to be held as a pen-paper based exam with Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada available as language choices. The paper will comprise 180 multiple choice questions which will have to be attempted during a span of three hours.
